Dad's Birthday.

Dad turned the big 60 this year and Sarah and I were trying to make big plans for the big day, but we couldn't come up with much to do here in Burley. Then to everyone but Sarah's surprise...Amber flew in for the weekend! It was a nice surprise. The only downfall of the weekend is that Taten and I got very sick with the flu. So it turned into just a hang out couple of days.

Mom had driven past a Christmas tree lot and saw this tree. She really wanted it so she took us girls to see it. The guy working said that he could just throw it on top of Mom's car. We told him that we would just bring the pickup back later, but then after we brought it home - we thought that it would make for a cute picture. I will do anything for a photographic moment, so we got Dad and Cody to lift it up there for the shot.
Don was measuring the tree to make sure it wasn't too tall. Don gets easily confused...I don't think that Emma was too tall, but thanks for checking :)
This photo cracks me up. Do you think that it really took all 3 men to figure out how to put the stand on the tree?
Be careful Taten Max.
Keith should have thought about how he was going to decorate the thing before he bought it. :)
I was definitely not going to get up there and help. I don't go past the third ring on a latter. It is just a general rule that I live by. It keeps me from being too far off the ground.

Tate and I did a lot of sleeping. Poor boy.

Things like this happen when I take naps - it is why I seldom get naps...

Emma wanted to be a rodeo clown, and since Aunt Amber bought her her very own makeup, she was able to do that. With a little help from her Dad of course.
Mom in her fabulous new kitchen.
Don likes to make fun of me - it makes him happy. For some reason, we like to make Don happy.
Emma was the BEST helper with the tree trimming...
It was a great Birthday weekend. Happy Birthday Dad!
