Bring it on!

Do not come to the hockey rink on Saturdays at 2:00! Do not come unless you are ready to laugh your gut off. Seriously, I lost some poundage last Saturday laughing so hard. Ellie and Tate are playing inline hockey this year and while all the other parents are yelling and cheering their children on - I was laughing my head off. These little kids get out on the rink and they go for it. There is no holding them back. They go so fast and all just keep falling and running into each other and it is great to watch. My kids just got started with the hockey this year so we are not as fast, but they have a great coach and he is really helping them. By the end of the season I think that my kids will be able to keep up with the others.
Tate is facing off - Go Tate, don't fall down!
I love watching the girls hang with the big boys! Go Ellie, don't fall down!

Ellie got to be the goalie and she didn't let anything past her!!! YAH!!!

Here it comes EL - don't fall down!!!

They had a cute cheering section!

Tate is working on the speed thing, he is a little more comfortable just standing in one spot. That's okay though, at least he won't fall down.

Don't put that dirty glove in your mouth Ellie - it will gross me out!
Definately good times - can't wait until this Saturday!!!

Random Garrard Happenings

Here are a few of the random happenings in the Garrard household for the month of March...
This is what I found when I walked away from my seed planting/transplanting for one second.

When Emma yells "Oh no" and puts her hands up it is a little scary what I might find. I thought it was pretty funny what she did. She said that she just wanted to help me so she put some soil in the cup. The problem was that she put it in my glass of water!

Thanks for the help Emma!

What do you get when you have 6 dozen cupcakes...

Cute Bingo Prizes...

and Tiff hitting a pinata... The RELIEF SOCIETY BIRTHDAY PARTY of course!

I couldn't believe that people actually showed up and I think that they had a good time.
Martha Stewart I am not, but I did have fun making my cupcakes!
Someone else brought these ones, didn't get to try them, but they are pretty interesting looking I think.

This is me saying HOORAY! IT'S OVER!

I love my new fish. We took some of our Christmas money and got new fish that are calming to watch instead of fighting and eating each other all the time. I love them except for the fact that I have done a little research since buying them and have found out that these kinds of fish reproduce quite frequently and in large amounts. We are talking hundreds of little baby fish every 6 to 8 weeks! So when I saw little black specs swimming around I was a little nervous. Delilah our fish had babies! Emma loves to watch them and has a stool next to the tank all the time. The good news is that it is hard for them to all make it, so we will have to see how my fish population turns out. We could get a little overpopulated.

One of the presents I made Emma for her birthday was a sticker book. All you have to do to make Emma happy is give her stickers. I looked for a sticker book like I used to have back in the day, but could not find one to purchase. I made this little book and just for the record it has kept Emma content and quiet in church every Sunday since we gave it to her.

Emma Birthday!

I am finally posting about Emma's birthday. I cannot believe that my baby is 4 years old. She is getting to be so much fun though. I will miss her next year when she goes to preschool. I think that she had a great day full of family and presents. I loved watching her all day long. This is the first birthday that she has really understood that it was HER day and she made sure that everyone new it. Thanks everyone for helping me make her feel like royalty all day long. She woke up and came in to me and said "Mom, here I am - THE BIRTHDAY GIRL!!!" I loved it. The next day she came in and said, "Mom - is it still my Birthday?" I said no and then she said, with a worried look on her face"Am I still 4?" I said yes and she was off to play with all of her new stuff.

Emma has been planning her birthday at the bowling alley since we celebrated Tate's birthday there in December. She even made sure that everyone came. Don and Sarah drove up for the day to bowl with her and Dad, Mom and Cody all left work to join us for a little while. They even brought Brian along that works for Dad. It was a good day!

Georgia's New Dress & Skylar's Sewing Projects

Here are some pictures of Georgia in her new dress. Isn't she fabulous!!!!

She fell asleep on Max and he loves her so much that he just layed there and let her sleep.

Skylar has been sewing lately and with a little help from her mother has been making some very cute things.

First she made a capri sun purse with recycled capri suns.

Then she made this cute monkey neck pillow.

I am so proud of her. She does most of it herself and tries not to ask for help. Good job Skylar!!!

Grandma.

Last Friday, Grandma Elva passed away. Her funeral was on March 4, which would have been her 92nd Birthday! It was a great funeral and we had some good times with family this week. I wasn't going to blog about it, but I have some great pictures and would like to remember the last few days.

There is something about being surrounded by family that is so calming to me.
It is so great to get to catch up with cousins. I wish that we did it more often. I love that we have friends that are always there to support us. You need good friends as much as you need your family. I could not resist putting this one of Zea on here. Quite a little doll. Jan.....where is Jan.... I am craving some more of this wonderful salad... Jonathan is so cute. Something about Bill at the kids table is so funny to me, yet so fitting. Emma and him had some good conversation while eating.

Kali is one of those cousins who is darling whether you are camping or at a funeral.

I was hesitant to pull my camera out at the cemetery. I am so glad that I did. I love Grandma and Grandpa.
There is no one better to carry Grandma to her final resting place than this group of men. This picture makes me cry. Look at Ellie and Uncle Jim.

Wonderful flowers - I am sure they made Grandma soooo happy!!!Emma ask me to take this shot. I love it.

Cousins, cousins, and more cousins.

Why do we take pictures at funerals? No one is ever looking picture perfect.

Jim, Sam, Sally, Bill, & Tom

I will miss Grandma, but I know that she is in such a better place now. I love you Grandma Elva.
