Worth Every Penny!

I have learned some things the past few months...one of them is that life is too short to not have fun. We do not know what the plan for us here on this earth is. We do not know what tomorrow will bring. We DO have the power to live each day to the fullest. I decided one day to go and buy a pool. It was so random. The thought just hit me. So I did it. My kids are all very afraid of the water so I didn't know how it would go over. They were excited, but they all put on their life jackets to get in. I can tell you now that it was the best investment ever. My children wake up and swim in the pool...we leave and run errands and come home and they swim in the pool... Cody gets home from work and they swim in the pool. I love watching them have fun and they have gone from being scared of water to doing flips and tricks for me. The other night I had to make them all get out at 10:30 because they were being too loud. Ellie and Tate weren't really the problem. The one being out of control was Cody. Let me tell ya, it is hard to get him out of a pool. Ellie told me that she had never seen her Dad have as much fun as when she was playing Marco Polo in the pool with him...worth every penny.

Regatta.

I have always wanted to go to the regatta. We always went across the river and watched it when we were little, but I have never been a paying spectator on the right side of the river. This year Cody and I decided that we were going to go for it. We had a blast. It was so fun to watch and our kids LOVED it.
I got to just sit and take pictures all day and watch my kids have fun watching the action, what could be better than that!
The water level is so high that it is up past the retaining wall onto the grass.

Taten was the best fan there. He was pretty sure that all of the racers were waving just at him when they took their victory laps! He did wave the hardest of anyone, he might have been right about that one.

I loved having all these boats headed toward me, and the sound.......loved it.
This was OUR boat that we were rooting for. We were sitting right by his family and we talked to the driver. They gave us balloons and candy. We were instant fans. They treated us like they had always known us. We cheered right along side of them and it was a blast! It was a good, intense race, but in the end our boat took FIRST PLACE in the final. He drove right in front of us and tried to spray us with the boat!!! It was pretty awesome!
Most of the people were watching the boats the whole time. I did have a hard time focusing on the boats when this would walk by...
It is a Nikon. I am usually a Canon gal, but isn't she beautiful!!! I think that I drooled a little bit...
Tate is sure that this sign was for him!

Summer Fun!

I love summer! I know I say it every year, but it is my favorite time of year. I love being warm and just hanging out with my kids. This year we have done a lot of hanging out with our little pups as well. I try not to get attached to them, but seriously....

how do you not get attached to these little cuties???!!! Oh wait, I know...you just remember that they grow up and turn into this...

I got to spend a little while catching up with Alicia...we really didn't color coordinate that day, but...
it was fun getting to chat, even if it was short. Time flies...we blink, and years go by...
Last week I got to have a Girls Night Out. They are rare, but enjoyable. It was fun hanging with you girls. You know we need to get out more when we close the place down while eating strawberry pie...

Steff - you will be missed, Idaho Falls is lucky to get you back!
